Rep. Tim Walberg, who represents Michigan’s 5th district in the U.S. Congress, recently posted a series of statements on his official social media account highlighting legislative efforts aimed at supporting industry and families in Michigan.

On August 21, 2025, Walberg wrote: "The One Big, Beautiful Bill protects the future of industry in Michigan, creating new jobs and fostering innovation." Later that same day, he followed up with another post stating: "Promises made, promises kept!"

The next day, on August 22, 2025, Walberg addressed economic concerns for working families in his district. He stated: "Working families deserve to pocket more of their hard-earned money. That is why, I supported the One Big, Beautiful Bill to prevent 66,780 families in Michigan's 5th District from seeing their household’s Child Tax Credit cut in half."

Tim Walberg has represented Michigan’s 5th District since 2011 after succeeding Mark Schauer. Prior to his congressional service, he was a member of the Michigan House of Representatives from 1983 to 1999. Born in Chicago in 1951 and currently residing in Tipton, Walberg holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Taylor University.
