City of Jackson issued the following announcement on Aug. 29.
Fourth Street at the intersection of Horton and Stonewall roads is now open to traffic.
This area was closed for several months for a massive construction project. The intersection was realigned to provide better traffic flow and to provide more pedestrian access to Ella Sharp Park.
This completes the Fourth Street construction project, which reconstructed nearly one mile of the street.
