City of Hillsdale issued the following announcement on Jan 5.
Now that snow is finally sticking around, we want to remind residents that city ordinance requires all sidewalks be cleared of snow and ice. It is the responsibility of the property owner/occupant to clear such accumulation from walkways within twenty-four (24) hours of a snowfall. https://library.municode.com/.../codes/code_of_ordinances...
Remember, removing snow from your property is not only neighborly, it helps keep everyone safe. City sidewalks are often used by schoolchildren, neighbors, family and friends. Additionally, keeping sidewalks clear will invite increased pedestrian traffic and add to the vitality of our downtown.
