Curbside Brush Pickup

Rules and Regulations

The City of Morenci, through its contractor – Borcks Outdoor Services – will begin curbside brush pickup on April 11, 2022, and will follow the schedule below:

April 11 and 25

May 9 and 23

June 13 and 27

July 11 and 25

August 8 and 22

September 12 and 26

October 10 and 24

Residents are welcome to take brush to behind the Morenci Department of Public Works (DPW) at 597 W. Chestnut Street if they would like to immediately get rid of it.

To make brush pickup easy, and to ensure it gets picked up, the City of Morenci is asking that you follow the following guidelines:

  • No bundling of brush.
  • Brush should be placed only on the curb of the boulevard of the street. Do not place brush in the road.
  • Brush should be free of foreign objects. If such are found in brush piles, brush piles will be left with the homeowner responsible for disposing of such piles.
  • Brush should be kept to six (6) inches in diameter and six (6) feet in length. Brush larger than this will not be picked up, and will be left to the responsibility of the homeowner.
  • Brush should be piled at least 20 feet away from a fire hydrant.
Failure to follow the aforementioned guidelines will result in your brush not being picked up. Curbside brush pickup will begin at 8 a.m. each Monday of the scheduled pickup week. If brush is placed out after 8 a.m. of a scheduled pickup, then it will not be picked up that week.

If you have any questions or concerns regarding brush piles, you are encouraged to contact the City of Morenci at (517) 458 – 6828.
