On June 21, 2023, the House passed H.R. 3799, CHOICE Arrangement Act, to expand health care options for working Americans and small businesses. Included in H.R. 3799 was Congressman Tim Walberg’s (MI-05) Association Health Plans Act, which will expand health care options and lower costs for small businesses through association health plans (AHPs), which would allow greater bargaining power and bulk rate purchases. Click here to watch his remarks.

“House Republicans are advancing solutions to deliver quality health care options for workers at a better price,” said Rep. Walberg. “Working families have struggled throughout the Biden presidency with historic inflation, but this legislation is targeted to provide relief, reduce burdens, and expand choice and flexibility for workers. I’m proud to see the inclusion of my Associations Health Plans Act in the underlying legislation to expand health care options and empower employees.”
