Rep. Tim Walberg, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Michigan's 5th district, recently shared a series of tweets addressing various issues and initiatives. Walberg has been a member of Congress since 2011 and previously served in the Michigan House of Representatives from 1983 to 1999.

On November 18, 2024, Rep. Walberg expressed concern over the Department of Education's performance regarding FAFSA completion rates. He stated that "Due to the Department of Education's failures, over 430,000 fewer students completed FAFSA. Sadly, the Department's failures continue. This is unacceptable." He also commended his colleague Rep. Houchin for leadership efforts aimed at improving efficiency in Washington.

The following day, on November 19, 2024, Rep. Walberg addressed safety concerns for Jewish students on college campuses. He remarked that "More and more Jewish students are feeling unsafe on campuses as this behavior continues to be accepted by cowardly administrators." He pledged that the Education and Workforce Committee would collaborate with former President Donald Trump to enhance campus safety for Jewish students.

Later that same day, Rep. Walberg recognized National Apprenticeship Week by highlighting the significance of apprenticeship programs in workforce development. In his tweet, he stated: "Happy #NationalApprenticeshipWeek! This week we recognize the important role apprenticeship programs play in bolstering our workforce and providing the opportunity to receive on-the-job training with real-world experience."
