Rep. Tim Walberg, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Michigan's 5th district, has been active on social media addressing various issues. His recent tweets touch upon political pardons, parental rights in education, and gain-of-function research.

On December 2, 2024, Rep. Walberg criticized President Joe Biden regarding a pardon for Hunter Biden. He stated: "Not only did Joe Biden lie to the American people about pardoning Hunter, but he also issued one of the most wide-ranging pardons in recent memory, dating back to his days as Vice President." He expressed that "The American people deserve better than this."

Later that day, Rep. Walberg emphasized parental rights in education by stating: "Let's be crystal clear—parents should never be kept in the dark on matters related to their own children." He mentioned his collaboration with @DFIPolicy to discuss these issues and how they relate to building a stronger future through foundational skills.

In another tweet from December 2, 2024, Rep. Walberg addressed concerns over gain-of-function research and its implications during the pandemic. He remarked: "This bombshell report further substantiates what many of us have thought when it comes to gain-of-function research, the lab leak theory, and prolonged school closures." He noted that expressing such thoughts could have led to censorship on social media at one point.
