Rep. Tim Walberg, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Michigan’s 5th district, has been vocal on several issues through his recent social media posts. His tweets touch upon education priorities, federal workforce attendance, and legislative actions regarding educational content.

On December 5, 2024, Rep. Walberg emphasized the importance of focusing on improving test scores over budgetary concerns in education. He stated, "It's time we focus on bolstering test scores, not budgets."

Later that day, he addressed federal workforce attendance by noting that only a small percentage are working full-time in person. He shared an optimistic update about discussions held at Capitol Hill with notable figures Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy concerning efforts to reduce governmental waste. In his words: "Just 6% of the federal workforce is showing up to work in person on a full-time basis... Today, @elonmusk and @VivekGRamaswamy came to Capitol Hill to discuss @DOGE and efforts to cut waste."

On December 6, 2024, Rep. Walberg expressed concern over polling data indicating favorable views of communism among Gen-Z members. Highlighting legislative measures taken by his party colleagues, he mentioned the passage of a bill aimed at educating students about communism's historical impact: "Polls have found that 1 in 3 members of Gen-Z view communism favorably... @HouseGOP just passed @RepMariaSalazar's bill to provide resources to more accurately educate students on the horrors of communism."
