Tim Walberg discusses economic growth and legislation supporting Michigan's manufacturing

Rep. Tim Walberg, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Michigan’s 5th district, has been vocal on social media about recent political developments and legislative efforts. Walberg, who replaced Mark Schauer in 2011 and previously served in the Michigan House of Representatives from 1983 to 1999, shared his views on economic growth and safety initiatives.

On June 17, Rep. Walberg expressed appreciation for former President Donald Trump's leadership, stating that "real wages have seen the most growth in 60 years." He emphasized the fulfillment of promises made during Trump's administration.

The following day, June 18, he reiterated this sentiment by affirming that "Promises made, promises kept!" Walberg assured constituents that the House GOP will continue collaborating with the Trump administration to enhance community safety.

Later on June 18, Rep. Walberg highlighted legislative efforts with a focus on manufacturing within his district. He announced that "The One Big Beautiful Bill will protect manufacturing in Michigan’s 5th District," emphasizing a commitment to prioritize American workers.

Tim Walberg was born in Chicago, Illinois in 1951 and is currently residing in Tipton at age 72. He holds a BA from Taylor University.
