Rep. Tim Walberg highlights local business support and environmental efforts in recent posts

Rep. Tim Walberg, U.S. Congressman representing Michigan’s 5th district since 2011, recently highlighted local business support, economic policies, and environmental stewardship in a series of social media posts.

On July 30, 2025, Walberg visited a longstanding Jackson business and posted on his account: "It was great stopping by Schupbach’s Sporting Goods, a family-owned business that has been operating in Jackson since 1946. The One Big, Beautiful Bill provides permanent tax relief for Main Street small businesses like them, allowing them invest in their business and employees."

Later the same day, he commented on national economic trends under the Trump administration: "Thanks to President @realDonaldTrump’s policies that put working families first, the economy is booming, and the golden age of America is here!"

On July 31, Walberg addressed environmental issues concerning regional natural resources: "The Great Lakes are a national treasure, and we must continue to be good stewards to ensure future generations can experience the same joy of their shores as we do today. Tim Walberg has represented Michigan’s 5th District in Congress since replacing Mark Schauer in 2011. He previously served in the Michigan House of Representatives from 1983 to 1999. Born in Chicago in 1951 and currently residing in Tipton, Walberg holds a BA from Taylor University.
