Rep. Tim Walberg, U.S. Congressman representing Michigan’s 5th district since 2011, has recently highlighted legislative developments and local visits through a series of posts on his social media account.

On August 9, 2025, Walberg wrote, "Under President @realDonaldTrump, illegal border crossings have plummeted. To ensure our border remains secure, we passed the One Big, Beautiful Bill, which makes the largest border security investment in history and gives immigration authorities the resources they need to keep https://t.co/hc5Ghp7X8c".

Two days later, on August 11, 2025, he shared details about a visit to a local agricultural facility: "I recently was able to tour Ottawa Lake Co-Op and learn more about their vital work which help feed our communities. The One Big, Beautiful Bill will provide our agricultural producers with the stability and certainty they need by protecting the small business tax deduction. https://t.co/BspB2keYhW".

On August 12, 2025, Walberg posted about national energy policy: "Thanks to President @realDonaldTrump, we are unleashing American energy dominance and lowering energy costs for working families. https://t.co/cbzHQ38lef".

Walberg has served in Congress since replacing Mark Schauer in 2011 and previously represented constituents in the Michigan House of Representatives from 1983 to 1999. Born in Chicago in 1951 and currently residing in Tipton at age 72, he is an alumnus of Taylor University with a Bachelor of Arts degree.
